"I have read most, if not all, of Earl Cobb's books. "The Conscious Citizen," his latest book is certainly one of his best. The approach he takes is thoughtful, extremely well researched, and encourages the reader to come up with their own answers to the key problems in the US today. Cobb uses 16 questions and the imaginary discussions of a husband/wife team to get at the reasons for four pillars of concern in the US today, (1) why is there a decline in civility; (2) Why does there seem to be a lack of unity; (3) How subconscious beliefs may be driving the country towards desiring authoritarian leadership, and (4) why growing economic inequality seems to not be taken as seriously as it should.
