Description: One of the pending issues in modern democracies is not only the representation of historically discriminated groups, but also their participation in political life. For this reason, the administrative and jurisdictional electoral authorities have implemented affirmative actions with the purpose of reverting any inequality in the exercise of the political-electoral rights of these groups. In Guanajuato, the implementation of affirmative actions materialized until the Local Electoral Process 2023-2024, however, its antecedents date back to 2018 with the issuance of the judgment of the file TEEG-JPDC-84/2018, through which the local electoral court declared the existence of the lack of a regulation that would make effective the political-electoral rights of indigenous peoples, communities and individuals and the omission to guarantee by the local administrative authority of the protection of such rights.
