Brief description: Gregg Ward is the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Respectful Leadership and a best-selling, award-winning author, speaker, facilitator, and executive coach. Gregg's second book, The Respectful Leader (John Wiley & Sons, 2016) was named a "Best Book of the Month" by Amazon and instantly became a best-seller in its category. In 2018, the book won the Gold Medal in the prestigious Axiom Business Book Awards competition. Having trained and worked as a professional in theater, television and film in New York and the UK, Gregg began his career in learning and development as a specialist trainer for The NYPD using the techniques of live theater and improvisation to train police officers. Since then, Gregg has developed and delivered over 2,500 keynote presentations and talks, training programs, seminars, webinars, and workshops in North America, Europe, and the Middle East for groups ranging in size from 12 to 2,000. Gregg's many clients include ADP, AXA, Booz Allen Hamilton, Ericsson, Ford, Harley-Davidson, Intel, Kaiser Permanente, Premier Members Credit Union, Qualcomm, the US Navy, the US Department of Labor, and Warner Bros Studios. A prolific writer whose articles have appeared in Forbes, Entrepreneur, and The San Diego Union Tribune, Gregg also served for five years as a freelance journalist and feature writer on assignment throughout Europe for Scotland on Sunday, The List Magazine, The Times of London, and BBC Radio-Scotland. Gregg holds a BFA from Boston University's College of Fine Arts, is a Board Certified Coach (BCC), a Master Corporate Executive Coach (MCEC), and an Executive Coach with The Center for Creative Leadership. He is certified in The Hogan, DISC, MBTI, FIRO-B, Workplace Big 5 and 360-Leader assessment instruments and received training in mediation from the National Conflict Resolution Center.He lives with his partner Kathleen in San Diego and plays as much tennis as time and his body will allow.
