Brief description: Jason Matthew Stanley is a career marketer, graphic designer, and entrepreneur turned writer in pursuit of a lifelong ambition. A lover of books from an early age, he developed a passion for historical fiction shaped by the works of Patrick O'Brian, Bernard Cornwell, and others. While exploring his family's genealogy, Jason discovered that he is a descendant of John and Jane Fraser through their daughter, Catherine. The more he learned about their lives, the more he felt called to tell their story. He lives in Chatham County, North Carolina with his wife, two children, a Great Pyrenees, and an assortment of goats, chickens, ducks, and a farm cat.
