Description:

Here is an opportunity for baby boomers to recall how luxurious travel was in the 70's. The food was delicious, the seats were comfortable and the air hostesses served your every need with class and dignity.

Brief description: Dianna Bennett is resolved to keeping the legacy of Trans World Airlines alive in the hearts and minds of the traveling public. After she left TWA in 1986, she purchased a franchise travel agency in Lawrence, Kansas. With her heart still in the clouds, she began working for Delta Airlines in 2000 as an agent. After retiring from Delta in 2014, she began volunteering at the TWA Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. She also sings with an 80 voice choir in Liberty, Missouri.

Review Quotes:

Praise for Jumpseat

"Jumpseat is a true story romp of a coming-of-age TWA 'air hostess' who was a witness to the rise and fall of a great airline. This is not just a history lesson in an exciting era of the airline industry. This is a bright and breezy charmer that illustrates the true glamour of the trials and tribulations of the 70's flight attendants." Mary Soderstrum Aviation Planner

"I had forgotten how fun flying could be until I read Jumpseat. The humor and seriousness mixed into history made each chapter better than the last. Kudos to the author for sharing her story in a most enjoyable way." Detective Mark Meyer (ret) Overland Park Police

"Jumpseat is far more riveting than I ever could have imagined. As an avid reader, this was one of those books that held my attention from chapter to chapter. You will not be disappointed. I simply cannot wait to read her next book." John Mays, TWA Museum Volunteer

"Jumpseat by Dianna Bennett sets the stage for the golden age of travel in 1970. With the addition of the exciting Boeing 747, her vivid descriptions and historical ties made me long for the opportunity to experience those magical moments in time. Each new chapter gave me pause to compare how differently we travel today. I am sure you will enjoy your journey as I did. Great book! " Captain Dan R
