Description:
You think you know what happens behind the closed doors of law enforcement? Think again. In Betrayed by the Badge, Dr. Anthony L. Robbins-a seasoned criminal defense investigator and former insider-rips open the veil on the unsettling realities of American policing, exposing the raw, brutal truth. From Clayton County's chilling origins in slave patrols to the explosive eras of Victor Hill and Levon Allen, this book unearths a systemic legacy of oppression, corruption, and unchecked power that has plagued law enforcement for centuries. Robbins doesn't just detail scandals, weaponized internal affairs units, inhumane jail conditions, staggering financial costs, and impunity born of his own experiences. This isn't just a historical exposé; it's a gut-punching call to action, demanding accountability, transparency, and a radical reimagining of what it truly means to protect and serve.
