Description: A hilariously hairraising friendship story about a bashful boy, a prankster sock puppet, and the perilous pursuit of perfection!
Brief description:
Jimmy Vee grew up making puppets and learning to talk without moving his lips. When he's not writing funny picture books, he entertains people with magic and ventriloquism. Jimmy is the executive director of the Vent Haven International Ventriloquist ConVENTion and the author of How to Make Your Sock Talk: A Beginner's Guide to Ventriloquism. He lives in Orlando, Florida, with his wife, two kids, two dogs, over
100 ventriloquist dummies, and a drawer full of sock puppets.
Review Quotes: "Following Vee's Professor Nincompoop (2024), this story is silly on the surface but carries a seriousm message: There is a time and place for perfection. Wilkinson's colorful art often varies its perspective and framing, with largerthanlife sound effects that reflect
the sock puppet's unpredictable behavior. A tastefully funny but instructive picture book perfect for early
elementary schoolers. Our verdict: Get it." -- Kirkus Reviews
