Description:
A whimsical, gravity-defying adventure told through imaginative rhyming verse and bold, hand-carved block-print illustrations--celebrating curiosity, courage, and the wonders of our world!
The Boy Who Defied Gravity follows a boy who finds life on Earth terribly boring. Convinced that there must be something more exciting in the sky above, he defies gravity and soars through the clouds. As he floats up into the atmosphere and beyond, he meets unique characters and begins to see the remarkable planet he left behind.
Created using the traditional art of linocut printmaking, the richly textured illustrations bring energy and movement to a journey from familiar earthly landscapes to the dazzling reaches of space. Perfect for ages 4-8, this playful and gently philosophical picture book encourages us to explore the world around us, especially what is already in our orbit.
