Review Quotes: Betty the Yeti is back in four new titles that continue to blend humor, heart, and everyday experiences with a fantastical twist. After moving from her snowy mountain home to a city apartment, Betty and her family--noticeably the only Yetis in town--navigate typical childhood events. In these latest installments, Betty faces her first babysitter, visits the dentist, enjoys a snow day, and tries to find her classroom's missing hamster. Despite her mythical nature, Betty's experiences are highly relatable for young readers. Each book features four short chapters with simple text, making them accessible for newly independent readers. Back matter includes a glossary and discussion and writing questions to promote reading comprehension. The bright, expressive illustrations effectively convey emotion and humor, adding depth to the stories. VERDICT A fun and imaginative early chapter book series that helps kids process common experiences--an excellent addition to early reader collections.-- "School Library Journal"
