She has worked in museums for almost three decades, previously serving as Director of the Florence Griswold Museum and Associate Director of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. Beaulieu is the author of Financial Fundamentals for Historic House Museums and Endowment Essentials for Museums, co-editor of The State of Museums, and contributor to Financial Management in Museums. She has a master's degree in Art History and Museum Studies and another in Arts Administration; she earned her Ph.D. in American and New England Studies.
