Brief description: I am working as Associate Professor at Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana (India) since Mar. 02, 2021. I had taught B. Pharm., M. Pharm. and Pharm. D. students and supervised 07 M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) students in the research area of Drug Design and Medicinal Chemistry. I am currently guiding 03 Ph.D. students in the area of Drug Design and Discovery. My present areas of research include structure-based drug design and medicinal chemistry of matrix metallo proteinase (MMP2 and MMP9) inhibitors as anticancer agents, antibacterial drug resistance (NDM-1), glucokinase activators as anti-diabetic agents, aldose reductase inhibitors for diabetic complications, PPAR agonists for treatment of metabolic syndrome, multi-potent anti-Alzheimer's agents, selective PDE4 and PDE7 inhibitors as anti-inflammatory agents and environmental chemistry. I had published a total of 80 articles in national and international journals of repute, 11 book chapters, 5 books, 5 patents and various poster presentations (15) at several conferences (both national and international).
