Description: Iver believed he was thoroughly educated, as most sixteen-year-olds assure themselves. All Iver wanted was money to buy a car and to date the prettiest girl he knew. Then Iver's world view was rocked when he was hired by his granddaddy, Erastus Rembrandt Edwards, Esq., M.D. Masseuse and Artificial Blood Circulator. His quiet adolescence vanished as the family secrets started popping out. 'Iver got enlightened, ' is an understatement. Polygamy, murder, an escapee from Dix Hill (the mental hospital in Raleigh), big haired and big boob-ed women at Big John's funeral, bootleggers, spot fishing tactics, biting children, roasted oysters, clairvoyant elephants, tainted collards, goat tacos, forced baptisms, Uncle Teddy stabbed with the cheese knife, stolen coon dogs, Rooster Juice, a fast girl, and an older woman. What a ride, and his life has just started to roll.
