Description:
Some cities remember you, even when you'd rather, they didn't.
Gabriel is a vampire with two centuries of road behind him and a hunger he keeps on a short leash. When a dangerous fugitive draws him back to Edgewood, the city he once called home, he expects trouble. What he doesn't expect is the weight of everything he left behind. Old debts. A woman whose voice still echoes in the dark corners of his memory. And a city that feels less like a homecoming and more like a trap slowly closing around him.
Edgewood is old, dangerous, and brimming with a magic all its own. Its neon-drenched streets and fog-choked alleys hide predators far worse than Gabriel, and the elders of his kind are already moving their pieces across a board only they can see. Pawns get sacrificed. And Gabriel has never been good at playing someone else's game.
He gave his word, and his word is iron. But between the mission, the memories, and the ancient powers pulling strings from the shadows, Gabriel will need more than brute strength and stubborn will to survive what Edgewood has waiting for him.
Some monsters hunt in the dark. Some monsters are the only thing standing between you and something worse.
