Description: Piper the Magpie is a charming story about Piper, a magpie who lives high in a gum tree near where children play. When Piper secretly lays three speckled eggs, she becomes protective and asks the children to keep their distance. The children listen carefully and give Piper space, understanding her need to guard her nest. Finally, the eggs hatch and Piper sings proudly while the children cheer, celebrating this special moment of new life and friendship.
