Before Nantucket had its' current cachet, it was the author's hometown. Adopted at birth, she was raised in an historic inn, carefree and safe, on an island with a winter population of 3,000.
Brief description: Susan Fernald washed ashore on Cape Cod from Nantucket in 2004; still close enough to visit her beloved Nantucket for parties, events and visiting friends. She has been writing about food and food-adjacent subjects for Edible Cape Cod magazine since 2007 and is also a Certified Holistic Health Coach. She loves to travel, often to concerts, and to California three or four times a year to see her son and his family. She lives in Hyannis with Daphne, her rescue cat of ten years.
