Description:
Healing Outreach to Men Everywhere (H.O.M.E.) is an interactive healing guide for incarcerated men, offering tools, stories, and support to reclaim self and community after trauma.
Brief description: Sandra Forti is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Columbus, Ohio who has been working with male and female survivors of sexual assault for most of her career. In addition to the study of psychology, she has extensive training in the relationship between the mind and body, and sees somatic awareness to be essential to psychological well-being. Dr. Forti has been a member of the MenHealing facilitator team since 2006 and has been a witness to the successful healing journeys of countless men and women who have experienced sexual harm. The H.O.M.E. Project has been an opportunity to inspire hope and create self-compassion for incarcerated men who have not had the chance to understand their own story through the lens of trauma.
