In the aftermath of the deaths of Lazarus and his clone, the brownstone is no longer the center of the world. Once again, a family business, Merilyn Shephard exists with her two sons, Simon and Wil, running a catering business. Simon is the 'master chef', focused on food and burning for revenge against those who harmed his family. Wil, a tech genius, searches for a way to improve their financial condition and his mother's failing health. Lazarus Wilson sits on top of a global conglomerate headed by his surrogate father, Gerald Remluf, who has paved his path to the White House.
All seems well until Simon joins an organization promising to assist him in bringing down Lazarus Enterprises. Things get further complicated when Wil, wooed by Crawford Sanborn, Gerald Remluf's corporate servant, takes a job at Clocor.
