'પંચતંત્ર' શબ્દ બે શબ્દોના મેળથી બન્યો છે- 'પંચ' અર્થાત્ પાંચ અને 'તંત્ર' અર્થાત્ આચરણના નિયમ. પંચતંત્ર મુખ્યતઃ પશુ-પક્ષીઓની કથાઓનું નીતિશાસ્ત્ર છે, જેમને બાળકો અત્યંત પસંદ કરે છે. અહીંયા અમે રંગ-બિરંગી ચિત્રો સહિત પંચતંત્રની કથાઓ પ્રસ્તુત કરી રહ્યા છીએ. આશા છે કે, બાળ વાચકો આ વાર્તાઓને વાંચીને આનંદિત થશે.
