Description: Epiphanius' work 'On weights and Measures' includes both metrological information of great interest and also the story of the translation of the Bible into Greek and details about the various Greekl translations of the Bible. This work is known in a defective Greek text, and texts in Syriac and Georgian. Here, for the first time, substantial parts of the work preserved in diverse Armenian sources, are assembled, edited and translated. A detailed introduction has been provided, as well as a commentary and an appendix listing Epiphanian and pseudo-Epiphanian works known in Armenian.
