Description: This volume contains contributions from authors who participated in the 33rd UIA - PHG International Seminar on Public Healthcare Facilities, Toronto, Canada, September 24-28, 2013, entitled "get better! the pursuit of better health and better healthcare design at lower costs per capita." The collection aims to raise awareness and document the experiences of members of the Public Health Group also beyond the scope of the conference. The articles are the result of different types of experiences developed in healthcare planning and design: scientific research, professional activities and research applications. The articles are intentionally represented in an iconographical manner and, using clear and direct language, provide consistency to the extremely complex experiences and highlight the continuous pursuit of quality in the production of architectural solutions.
