Description: The many photographs by Wilhelm von Gloeden (Wismar, 1856 - Taormina, 1931) reproduced in this monograph, edited by Annarita Caputo, were taken between 1899 and 1902. These shots represent only a small portion of Gloeden's productione, but what they have in common is the theme of the nude and the Sicilian setting.
