Scientific Style in English aims to help students with the reading and writing of scientific and technical texts in English, with a particular focus on style, grammar and math. It can be used by students and professionals with basic or intermediate understanding of theEnglish language.
Brief description: Thiago Tavares de Alencar was born in Recife, Brazil in 1985. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Law from the State University of Paraiba, in 2014. He studied at the Northdale Public School, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and completed his English studies, up to the level of Teacher's Training Course, at the Anglo Brazilian Institute, in Campina Grande, Brazil. He also studied Spanish and German. He taught English as a second language, to Basic and Advanced classes, at the Anglo Brazilian Institute, between 2004 and 2006. He published two papers at the 2004 IEEE Conference on the History of Electronics, Bletchley Park, England. Thiago Alencar co-autored the essay Historical Evolution of Telecommunications in Brazil, which received a grant from the IEEE Foundation.
