Brief description: Luca Salvati, M.S., Ph.D. is expert in Regional Statistics, Demography, Economic Geography and Urban Planning. He is aggregate professor of Economic Statistics at University of Macerata - Department of Economics and Law, dealing mainly with institutional and economic statistics, statistics for the territory, theory of indicators, sustainable development and urban growth. He held a Ph.D. in Economic Geography and was a former staff researcher of the National Statistics Institute (ISTAT) and of the Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA) in Italy. He has published more than 400 articles in English, 30 books, and many thematic essays, also with specific contributions on multivariate statistics and spatial analysis.
