Description: A daughter must take care of her mother, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, who tried to kill her as a child. From this simple plot premise, Antonio Manuel, the celebrated author of 'La huella morisca' and 'La luz que fuimos', weaves with extreme delicacy a novel as raw as beautiful, where he combines the lived word with silences that say much more than they are silent. Hatred of those who are different meets love for the land and mutual care, through the eyes of a young shepherd and the women who are the protagonists of this beautiful and memorable story. A fierce word, a book full of earth and memory to break the silence of those who could never speak'. María Sánchez, author of 'Tierra de Mujeres'. 'In this story, Antonio Manuel speaks to us of the need to forget and forgive, of the need for love that reconciles us with life.' Abraham Guerrero Tenorio. Poet, Adonais Award and Critical Eye.
