Description: The eco-account was developed in Germany and is an instrument of urban land-use planning for stockpiling compensation and replacement measures. As the City of Vienna does not currently have such an instrument for managing compensation measures, the possibility of applying the eco-account instrument in Vienna is to be examined. The aim is to determine how the concept could be implemented and what significance and impact the introduction of an eco-account would have on Vienna.
