Brief description: Aurelio Baldor (1906-1978) fue un educador cubano y apasionado de las matemáticas. Fundó el Colegio Baldor en La Habana, donde ejerció como director en las décadas de 1940 y 1950. Tras emigrar en 1960, vivió en México, Nueva Orleans y Nueva York, impartiendo clases de matemáticas. Finalmente se estableció en Miami, donde falleció en 1978. Su legado perdura en generaciones de estudiantes que aprendieron con su célebre obra de álgebra.
Aurelio Baldor (1906-1978) was a Cuban educator devoted to mathematics. He founded the Baldor School in Havana, serving as director during the 1940s and 1950s. After emigrating in 1960, he lived in Mexico, New Orleans, and New York, teaching mathematics. He later settled in Miami, where he passed away in 1978. His legacy endures through generations of students who studied with his renowned algebra text.
