Description: This publication offers a panoramic overview of French archaeology in Egypt through the excavations and research programmes currently being conducted on pharaonic monuments, but also, more broadly, on remains which date from the prehistoric to the medieval period. It presents both the French institutions and organisations committed to the field work and the sites being studied by their archaeologists and Egyptologists, in cooperation with Egyptian and international partners, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
