Description: This work contains two sets of one hundred Apologues--both the original texts written at the end of the Quattrocento by Bartolomeo Scala, chancellor of Florence from 1465, and their French translation. Also included are letters written by Scala and by Piero II de' Medici, Ficino's Apologues, and an epigram by Poliziano.
