Review Quotes:
"Gay Cheese" is a trip!
And by that, I mean it resembles those LSD trips some of us used to take back when the world was young. Back then, you never quite knew where these psychedelic adventures were going to take you, and what horrors or joys awaited you during the experience. This novel takes you hither and yon, the words tumbling onto the page like a stream of consciousness explosion, clinging to a storyline. I do think you have an original voice; there is no-one like you, and you are far from being derivative. Your humour is odd, a kind of rural sensibility filtered through a smart and ironic view of the world. The colloquialisms were highly original as well, in fact nothing about this book is like anything I've read before. In my humble opinion this novel shows a kind of raw talent for storytelling which could have benefitted from a firm and sober hand to guide it away from the occasionally incoherent overwriting. (A problem all of us who try to write face) I think you have talent and I think you should continue to write, creating more tales from your odd and sometimes compelling sensibility.
Thanks for a quirky book!
