Buster Nix is overweight, unhappy, and stuck, until he lands a job as a security guard at Pick-A-Chicken, a fast-food chain where customers choose their own doomed bird. What Buster doesn't know is that the company's success comes from a deal with a Hell-born creature known as the Lizard God.
When Buster accidentally disrupts a supernatural ritual, he's burned by literal hellfire, and wakes up with the bizarre ability to transform into a giant, super-strong lizard. Unfortunately, his old boss, Elroy Cuzzins, didn't escape the ritual unscathed either. He's now Big Chicken: an enormous, homicidal rooster behind the wheel of a red sports car.
Armed with his new powers, a sarcastic one-eyed chicken named Socrates, and Isaac, a teenage tech genius living in the ruins of a Noah's Ark theme park, Buster sets out to defeat evil and maybe save himself in the process. But controlling his transformations, keeping Isaac alive, enduring Socrates' visions of Hell, and stopping a giant murderous chicken is... complicated.
Being a superhero was never supposed to be this messy.
