However, to find the location of the treasure, one must first crack the ciphers found within the Beale Papers. This memoir follows the journey of the historical attempt of two brothers to solve these ciphers that began at the end of the 19th century. The research within provides the reader with additional history not outlined in the original pamphlet, and a very detailed analysis of the papers and the code within them.
