Description: This manual is certainly not an exhaustive resource but is designed to provide ideas and stimulate a committee's creativity in providing ongoing support, encouragement and ministry. The most important thing a committee can do is to establish a relationship with the ministers in your presbytery through good communication, support and encouragement. Continue to hold up before ministers the importance of their call, which can and does change throughout their career; therefore, it is helpful to honor and celebrate their call. A healthy relationship between the Committee on Clergy Care and the ministers can have a profoundly positive impact upon the minister, the congregation, the presbytery, and Kingdom of God.
