Description: This is a compilation of a variety of poems from my collection. It contains various styles and forms of poetry. Acrostic, limerick, sonnet, minute, loop. They are inspiring and powerful. Some are sad, others are a demonstration of love and memories. Funny poems are also included in this excellent poetry chapbook.
Brief description: Born in Bradford, my late mother was from bronte country and grew up there. I heard the stories and felt very much part of the 'Railway children.' My late father was from the Pontefract, Castleford area of West Yorkshire. My grandad (Mum's side) served in world war two. His family originated from Barnsley and moved to howarth for work. The textile revolution. I met lots of people with amazing lives during my eighteen years as a nurse. (13 years qualified) I had the pleasure of listening to lots of war stories when I worked nights. I also spent my last years as a nurse on the district. I am blessed to have had such adorable loving parents and I was definitely a Daddy's Girl. Thats where my 'Amelia's Autumn Trail' idea came from. My trips to the park, 'Amy Throw's a line' I was married for 12 years and have three beautiful almost grown up children and grandchildren too.
