Description:

In 1968 Manhattan, billionaire heir Jack Richardson meets ambitious Smith graduate Beryl Christian. As love grows, Beryl must decide whether life with the troubled tycoon will help her pursue her dreams-or hold her back.

Brief description: Roberta A. Grimes was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, and attended Smith College before continuing her studies at Boston University School of Law. Shortly after graduating from college in 1968, she briefly lived in Manhattan, where she learned to program an IBM 360 computer. She later moved to Boston, where she met and married a graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine. For more than fifty years, Roberta A. Grimes has studied death, the afterlife, and spiritual matters as a personal interest. Her Seek Reality podcast and blog, both now approaching fifteen years in publication, have developed a worldwide audience. She and her family lived in Plymouth, Massachusetts, for twenty-five years before relocating to Sarasota, Florida, where they remained for two years. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina prompted their move north along Florida's west coast to Sunset Valley, a suburb of Austin, Texas. She continues to live there with her three grown children and five grandchildren.Roberta A. Grimes has been writing fiction since the late 1980s. After publishing two novels traditionally with Berkley and Doubleday and finding the traditional publishing model challenging for authors, she chose to write primarily for personal enjoyment. She now writes novels as part of a complex series loosely centered on an idealized island in the South Atlantic. The main female character in the Jack/Atlantica series is largely autobiographical.
