Description:
Jacob Marley is best known as the long dead partner of Ebenezer Scrooge, a fictional character whose very name serves as a synonym for cheap. Marley is "dead as a doornail," Dickens insists in the opening lines of the well known tale, but Scrooge's nephew uncovers an entirely different account of events. In this skillfully crafted retelling, novelist-playwright George Rapier brings the fascinating characters back to the printed page to reveal what really happened on that mysterious and legendary night before Christmas.
