Description: You know how government opportunities exist, but there are so many unanswered questions? Well Insider's Guide to Security Clearances not only answers the questions, but walks the reader through the process.

Brief description: Jeffrey W. Bennett, SAPPC, SFPC, ISOC, ISP are his DoD Certifications to protect government secrets. Jeff is an expert on security and risk management and provides training to security cleared employees on security requirements and coaches on how to get a security clearance. Jeff's first book was a study guide for security certification. He took the test and passed, but did not experience some of the issues other test takers had. His study method helped him sail through the exam and he knew he could help others do the same. He wrote a short study guide and made it available to colleagues and they encouraged him to get it online so others could benefit. Soon after, Jeff began writing other security books and courses, soon starting his company Red Bike Publishing, LLC. He is also busy consulting on how to get a security clearance. You can see his video here: http: //www.redbikepublishing.com/security/ After that, he wrote Get Rich in a Niche to teach others how to build their own businesses. Review Quotes:

Having been tasked with the mission to research all that I could about Security Clearances and the Facility Security Officer (FSO) position at a government contracting firm, it was difficult to find resources on the topic that were available for the up-and-coming FSO. In this book, Mr Bennett gives clear and concise answers to help guide the way for those that haven't been in the industry for long or at all. And with the Kindle edition, it was easy to have the book with me for reference whenever I needed help with knowing which forms to use, what acronyms stand for, and what is the next step in the Security Clearance process. I highly recommend this and other Red Bike Publishing books on the subject - they are quite helpful for those new to the industry and those that are refreshing their studies.

The book is great-- cuts to the point on how to get started in this business. Succinctly describes what you need to do to get your business set up to work on clearance contracts. Gives you helpful links, and does a fairly good job at listing out the "to-do's".

As a 30-year security profession who has been involved with government and high-security industrial projects, I find this is an important book. Individuals and companies wanting to obtain and maintain security clearances will find this an excellent resource. Mr. Bennett provides background and an overview of security clearances, description of clearance levels along with the need-to-know, and how to navigate through the intricate application process for those who want to win DOD projects.

Mr. Bennett has excellent credentials for writing this book and his insight into the processes of applying and maintaining clearance is highly informing. He gives a thorough overview of forms and documentation needed to apply and discusses the agencies and departments involved. He provides a detailed description of the application and approval process and details information on the criteria used to make decisions on granting clearance and includes real-world scenarios.

He describes FSO's responsibilities and their relationships with various agencies. He highlights training requirements on topics like, counterintelligence threat awareness, cyber-security awareness, insider threat awareness and he describes employee reporting obligation and procedures.

If you want to learn more, buy the book. It's excellent!

Excellent for Defense professionals who want to understand and simplify the typically confusing landscape of security clearances. Jeff really knows his stuff and makes it very digestible to keep yourself safe and compliant!
