Brief description: Shannon started raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind in third grade and continued through high school. Her family continues to raise guide dog puppies, and Shannon hopes to return to raising after college. Being the daughter of a veterinarian, Shannon was thrilled to find a project where she could combine her love for animals and passion for community service. She is thankful for all the opportunities this project has brought her and hopes to encourage other youth to give back to their community. You are never too young to make a difference!
