All people and events in the story are historical, verified with relevant references and sources. It's clear from contemporary records that 'Abdu'l-Bahá had a brown cat at this time, the only fiction in the story being the suggestion that His cat was often on hand to observe what was taking place. What the cat does and thinks are the only fiction in the story.
