I appreciated the author's candid approach with her own personal testimony and the case studies that truly cement the importance of the content. The text, which offers 101 tried-and-true recommendations on everything from behavior control and communication to independence and resilience development, is quite well-written, in my opinion. This book is so well put together. It piqued my interest because I have an 8 yr old son with autism and I'm definitely not equipped to always do the right thing for him. I have no qualifications at all for raising a child with special needs. This book breaks down small steps that you can take to reach goals with your child and reminds of the things that are important for them to learn. I liked that each chapter has a case study where steps outlined in that chapter are applied to a real scenario so we can see those steps in action. Great book to help give some guidance to parents like me who are totally lost on how to take care of these special kids.
