Description:
Ulster Coastal Run describes spectacular beaches, friendly villagers, Atlantic storms and other places of interest spanning over 1,600 kilometers walking and running around the north of Ireland coastline.
Brief description: It's hard to believe that I have now completed all the coast of Ulster and now Connacht. That's 3,335km (or 2,072miles) so far. What started as a crazy idea, to run around the perimeter of Co. Down, escalated into a six-year project which ended up with me following the Irish coast, north and west to the southern shores of Galway Bay. So far there's been a few scary moments in my adventure, some strange encounters, all kinds ofextreme weather and a few wrong turns along the way. I pushed my body to the limit, struggled and suffered on many occasions but I always got there in the end!
