Description: Dr Ella's original research on experiences of British exiles during the reign of Queen Mary. The Reformation in Britain was moulded in later years by men and women who fled England at this time and formed churches in European cities. On their return they applied the lessons they had learned in Europe to the fledgling protestant Church of England.
