William MacLean (1907-1985) was a minister of the gospel who served congregations of the Free Presbyterian Church in Scotland, New Zealand and Australia over a period of thirty-seven years. After ordination as a minister in 1948, Mr MacLean's first charge was in Ness on the Isle of Lewis. He accepted a call to Gisborne on the North Island of New Zealand in 1962 and remained there until 1973, before serving a congregation in Australia and then returning to Ness in 1976 for the final part of his ministry.
