Description: Plate-and-frame heat exchangers (PHEs) are used in many different processes at a broad range of temperatures and with a variety of substances. Research into PHEs has increased considerably in recent years and this is a compilation of knowledge on the subject. Containing invited contributions from prominent and active investigators in the area, it should enable graduate students, researchers, and research and development engineers in industry to achieve a better understanding of transport processes. Some guidelines for design and development are also included.
