Brief description:
Monika Filipina started working as a children's book illustrator in 2012 and has since worked with clients all over the world on over 50 books. Her books have been translated into more than 20 languages and published in the USA, UK, Italy, Spain, Poland, China, Korea, Germany, Brazil and many more countries. In 2011, she completed a BA with Hons in Illustration at the University of Wolverhampton. She was honoured with the Dean's Prize for Excellence in Visual Communications and was chosen as one of the Highly Commended Students at the D&AD New Blood Show. Soon after that, she moved to Cambridge and, in 2014, completed a Master's degree in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Arts. She now lives with her two kids and one totally grown-up husband in her hometown - Torun, Poland.
