Karen Hagemann is the James G. Kenan Professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2005. The focus of her work has been German and European history, military history, and women's and gender history. Her most recent books include: The Oxford Handbook of Gender, War, and the Western World since 1600 (ed. with Stefan Dudink and Sonya O.
