Part 1 analyses the body as a biological entity as well as a social, sexual and cultural identity (persona). Part 2 includes articles closely related to the specialisms of Amiet: glyptics, state formation, and the organisation of craftsmen and statuary.
Brief description: Laura Battini is an archaeologist specialised in the Ancient Near East. She is currently a researcher at the French National Centre of Scientifi c Research (Laboratory PROCLAC, UMR 7192, directed by Thomas Romer). Laura created a new journal for the Ancient Near East (Ash-sharq, Archaeopress), and is the editor of the series Archaeopress Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology.
