Description:

Routing is the fundamental guide to using router trimmers and tables, including 16 projects suitable for all skill levels.

Almost all tasks traditionally performed by standard routers can in fact be done using router trimmers, which are smaller, more maneuverable and cheaper. This comprehensive guidebook is full of tutorials and tips, enabling anyone to get to grips with routing techniques such as cutting and joining.

Projects include a desktop storage box, a photo frame and kitchen chopping board.

Brief description: At the age of 28, Toyohisa Sugita began building his own 28ft (9m) cruising yacht. It took five and a half years to complete and launch. This experience was the starting point for his woodworking career. Since then, he has developed, manufactured and sold woodworking products; produced and sold woodworking videos. He is the author of Super Epoch-making Woodworking Techniques (Studio Tuck Creative) and All About Sugita-style Sawing Wood (Ohm-sha), which advocates 'Sugita-style' sawing, meaning a precision woodworking technique that requires almost no power tools. Toyohisa lives in Tokyo, Japan.

Review Quotes: "Router trimmers are smaller, more manoeuvrable and cheaper than standard routers, and this comprehensive guidebook will teach you how to take full advantage of them in your woodworking. After covering the basics of operating a router trimmer, there are several detailed tutorials for using the router trimmer with fences and jigs. There's also an extensive projects section, which includes several boxes, a wall-mounted shelf, a pegboard, chest, photo frame, cutting board and feather boards." --Furniture & Cabinetmaking

"While Routing is quite beginner-friendly, there's still plenty more experienced woodworkers can pick up... It contains everything someone starting out would need to know about their router... If you've an urge to expand your routing horizons, whether you're a beginner or a woodshop veteran, then I recommend checking out Routing."--Woodsmith magazine
