Description:

Equip tweens for a confident adolescence with 'Life Skills for Tweens' by Ferne Bowe-a concise guide with 70+ practical tips for a happy and successful teenage journey.

Brief description: Ferne Bowe is a parent, marketing professional, and author of Money Skills for Kids. With two kids of her own, she has first-hand experience with the challenges and triumphs of raising a kid. While watching her kids growing up, she noticed the gap between the skills kids need to thrive in the real world and what they are taught in school. For example, she noted that while kids are often taught how to get good grades, they are rarely taught how to manage their finances or have difficult conversations. She is on a mission to close that gap and help kids, and young adults find their purpose, develop self-awareness and confidence, and build their skills to create a life they love. Her message is simple: Mastering life skills and taking ownership of day-to-day tasks is the key to success, no matter your goals. Adopting this principle helps kids develop the skills they need to live a successful life.

Perfect for my son

I found this book really interesting so I got one for my son who is 10 years old. He loves it, especially the activities in each chapter.

Great gift for a pre-teen that makes sense out of teen confusion

Tweens should not be managed quite the same way as teens, and the author provides practical, easy to follow tips that specifically focus on tweens.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Tim (United States)

Essential knowledge for tweens

This book covers all the bases. I was most impressed by how many different areas of life skills Ferne was able to cover, while still having the book feel accessible and cohesive. It reads easily, but can be used as a reference as well, with well-laid out chapters and sections. Most of the day to day practical "adulting" advice is up front (budgeting, goals, society), and then it drives deeper, hitting on things like mental health and personal space issues, all too common with preteens today. The reading level is definitely middle school, so I would recommend for kids at least at that age. Excellent work by Ferne Bowe!
