Description: A young girl playing in the wind, and how the wind describes her faith when she is older.

Brief description: Delores Janet (Ross) George was a daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, teacher, leader, writer, and most importantly, born again. She loved children, and she enjoyed reading stories to them. Delores Janet worked in Kindergarten over 12 years as a Teacher's Aid before going back to college to get her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, minoring in Psychology, and Full Clad Teacher's Credentials at California State University Chico (CSUChico). After holding her college and teaching degrees, Delores Janet wanted to give back to the community that she grew up in; so, she spent several years in the school district she grew up in substituting and teaching full time from Kindergarten to Adult Ed. Delores Janet spent much of her life working with children. In the time she worked in Kindergarten, she wrote and illustrated several children's books that she read to the classes she worked with. She always wanted her books published, but family and helping people took priority in her life. Today I Played With The Wind is her first children's book of many that her family has published in honor of her legacy she left behind. Delores Janet George passed away in January of 2019. She left behind her husband, Ralph, two daughters, son, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and grandson.
