At some 584 pages the Lexicon could have been twice as large were it not for the decision to avoid the inclusion of highly technical recent terminology from medicine, mathematics, the law, banking, science, and engineering. The Lexicon is fundamentally about history, politics, fiction, the arts, and liberal studies.
